Delivery Policy

1. Delivery Coverage

Cakenest currently delivers within selected pin codes across Mumbai and Bangalore. We are actively expanding — check your pin code availability at checkout.

• Delivery is available 7 days a week, including public holidays.
• We do not deliver to PO boxes or locations inaccessible by road.
• If we cannot serve your pin code, we will inform you immediately and process a full refund.

2. Delivery Time Slots

We offer four delivery time slots. Your order can be delivered anytime within your chosen slot — we do not guarantee a specific minute within the window.

Same-day delivery: Available when you order before 2:00 PM for evening or night slots. Morning and afternoon slots require ordering the day before by 9:00 PM.

3. Delivery Charges

• Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on your delivery location and are displayed before payment.
• Charges may vary depending on distance from the baker and surge conditions.
• No hidden fees — the amount shown at checkout is final.

4. Recipient Responsibility

• A responsible adult must be present at the delivery address throughout your chosen time slot.
• The delivery partner will bring the cake to the ground-floor entry point or lobby. The recipient is responsible for carrying the cake from there to their floor.
• Please ensure the contact number provided is reachable. Our delivery partner will call 10–15 minutes before arrival.
• If delivering to a gated society or office, please notify your security/reception in advance to allow entry.

5. Handling Your Cake

Cakes are delicate. Please follow these steps when receiving your order:

• Accept the cake box with both hands and keep it perfectly upright at all times.
• Do not tilt, shake, or place the box on its side during handling.
• Inspect the box and cake before the delivery partner leaves. If you notice damage, photograph it immediately.
• Refrigerate the cake within 30 minutes of receipt if it contains cream, cheesecake layers, or fresh fruit.

6. Single Delivery Attempt Policy

As cakes are highly perishable, Cakenest attempts delivery of your order only once. A delivery is deemed unsuccessful and no refund or re-delivery will be issued in the following cases:

• Incorrect or incomplete delivery address provided at checkout.
• Recipient's phone number is switched off or unreachable.
• No one is present or available at the delivery address.
• Entry denied by the recipient or building security.
• Recipient refuses to accept the delivery.

Please double-check your delivery address and phone number before confirming your order.

7. Late or Delayed Deliveries

• We make every effort to deliver within your chosen time slot. However, Cakenest cannot guarantee specific delivery times due to traffic, weather, or other factors outside our control.
• In the event of a significant delay, our team will proactively notify you via WhatsApp or phone.
• Delays caused by force majeure events (heavy rain, bandh, accidents, road closures) are outside our liability. We will work with you to reschedule at no extra charge.

8. Force Majeure

Cakenest reserves the right to reschedule delivery to a later time or date during circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather conditions, government-imposed restrictions, civil unrest, strikes, or large-scale traffic disruptions. In such cases, we will contact you to agree on an alternative delivery time.

9. Damaged Cake on Delivery

• If your cake arrives damaged, photograph it before moving it from the box.
• Contact us within 1 hour of delivery on WhatsApp at +91 8837641250 with your order ID and photos.
• We will arrange a replacement or a full refund as per our Refund Policy.
• Damage claims reported after 1 hour of delivery cannot be processed.
